Vince is a founding member of the HSHOF executive committee and served as president in the last 5 years. Vince’s love of soccer started at the age of eight when he played for the Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club and became immersed in the Hamilton Soccer community. He played there at the grassroots level and also played his soccer at Cathedral Boys High School and one year at STM, was also a member of their all-star teams. Vince has also been involved with East Hamilton All Star teams and Hamilton Alemannia. As a member of Alemannia the team travelled to Germany for a two week tournament under head coach Gunther Schneider. The team also went undefeated and was Champions of the Hamilton U18 Division. At the senior level, Vince was involved as a player with Michelangelo Soccer Club where the team won promotion from the First Division in 1997. In 1998, Michelangelo Soccer Club competed in the Hamilton Premier Division where it remained until 2002.
Vince has also been involved in coaching soccer for the Hamilton community. At the youth level he was head coach at St. Jean de Brebeuf High School from 1998- 2001. The program was very successful winning the first City Championship in the school’s history after going undefeated in 1998 and they also competed at OFSSA. At the senior level, Vince was also sharing the coaching duties with the Michelangelo Soccer Club where the team won two HSSL playoff Championships, one HSSL Championship, Spectator Cup Finalist and a silver medal in the 2001 Ontario Cup.
Vince’s administrative responsibilities include being the President of Michelangelo Soccer Club from 1996-2002. His duties consisted of: player registration, player development, player personnel, attending all District and League meetings, managing schedules and the team website, responsible for the clubs finances and day-to-day operations of the club.
