Frank Rizzuti has been coaching boys soccer and teaching in the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board for the past thirty years.

Frank has coached the Junior Boys soccer team at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School for 19 years.  From 1999 to present, he has co-coached teams that have won 15 championships.  Over these years, the Junior teams have won 10 consecutive titles, averaged 24 goals for and 6 goals against per season, and achieved many undefeated seasons while only losing 7 regular season games along the way.  Frank credits much of his team successes to the talented players that have come to the school from the various local soccer clubs (e.g. Saltfleet, Croatia, etc.) and to the knowledgeable and dedicated co-coaches that he has been fortunate to work with over the years.

Previous to coaching at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School, Frank coached various Senior and Junior Boys teams at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School for 9 years.  In 1992, Frank co-coached the Senior team that won the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference (GHAC) Regional championship and a Gold Medal at the Provincial OFSAA “AAAA/AAA” tournament.  Coincidentally, this was the last Senior Boys team from the GHAC region to achieve a Gold Medal at this division.  Notably, Frank’s Junior teams also reached the finals on 3 separate occasions during his time a St. Mary Catholic Secondary School.

In the community, Frank has primarily been a coach for a significant number of years at the Ancaster Soccer Club. He has been fortunate enough to co-coach teams that have won Divisional championships in the South Region Soccer League, and he even co-coached an Ontario Youth Soccer League Under 18 Boys team that won the Provincial championship in 2016 at the highest level.  Frank is currently the co-coach of the Ancaster Under 21 Boys team.

As a youth player, Frank played for the Mt. Hamilton and Dundas United Soccer Clubs.  As an adult, Frank played for the Sparta Soccer Club and for the McMaster University Varsity team for two years.

Frank is currently the Department Head of Mathematics at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School.  He is a University Men’s basketball official with 25 years of experience. Over the years, he has officiated many National tournaments in Canada including the 2016 University Men’s Gold Medal game in Vancouver.  Above all else, he is a proud husband and father of two soccer loving boys Alex and Marcus, who both play competitive soccer and enjoy cheering for their favourite professional team Juventus.
